Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions
We are dedicated to giving every customer the best experience when they choose to buy or sell a saddle with us! We want to provide you with the answer to any questions you may have - if you do not see the answer below, please contact us via Messenger or Email!
Do you buy saddles?
Yes we do! Just visit our 'Sell a saddle' page for more info!
Are all your saddles second hand?
They are indeed, we want to send unwanted preloved saddles to new homes. Do not worry! We will never sell a broken saddle. Some may have cosmetic marks, scratches or cuts but these will be clearly highlighted in all our product photos and descriptions!
Can I trial a saddle? How does this work?
Of course!
We have a three day trial period on all our saddles & accessories! First you must purchase the saddle you want to trial, then we will ship it within 24 hours with next day delivery!
You must be in the UK for this - unfortunately we are unable to offer trials to anyone outside of the UK at this time.
The trial then starts from the day our courier delivers your saddle (day 1). You then have two more days to try it on and get a feel if it's right for you!
I'm outside of the UK - do you ship to me?
Yes, of course! We ship worldwide and are more than happy to do so. Unfortunately we are unable to offer trials to anyone outside of the UK at this time. Please note that all international orders are non-refundable. Due to the complexities and costs associated with international shipping, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for international orders. If you have any issues with the courier, please let us know and we will do our best to resolve the matter.
I've got a professional saddle fitter coming out after the trial period ends, what do I do?
We do ask that you try arrange a day with your saddle fitter first, then purchase the saddle of your choice two to three days before this date. if you need to extend your trial period we will usually do this without any further cost, however, we may deduct a small admin fee if you decide to return the saddle!
Why choose The Saddle Hub UK
We won't lie, there are some fantastic businesses that will buy & sell your saddles, however, we'd like to highlight that we don't want to maximise profit on our saddles! All we want to do is make sure people get paid fairly and not get offered peanuts for their saddles and sell them at a reasonable price so people don't have to fork out a bank loan to buy a preloved saddle!!
Basically, we care about you, that's why!
How do you price your saddles?
Saddle pricing is more difficult than people realise, first there's your good ol' supply-and-demand, meaning that at certain points some saddles are more sought after than others, which causes prices to change.
Here at the S-Hub we also care about quality! We will price a saddle accordingly depending on how much wear and tear it has when we receive it!
With that in mind we have a set number that we wish to make per saddle, so we often don't think about 'how much can we get' and instead think 'what's a fair price for you to buy this at'.
